This program allows
your members to secure auto, home, and
renters insurance at discounted rates
not available to the general public.
These are products that most of your
members are required to have either
by law or to satisfy loan
requirements on their home. Other
personal insurance products are
available and include coverage for: seasonal or secondary
homes, flood, rental dwellings, umbrella
liability, valuable articles and
recreational vehicles. |
Health Insurance
|
Short Term Medical (STM) Insurance is
health insurance that is purchased for a
limited period of time at a reasonable
price. Members can choose the policy
period given their specific situation.
STM is commonly purchased by: recent
college graduates, students not eligible
for coverage under their parent’s
policy, individuals between jobs,
part-time or seasonal employees,
unemployed individuals, retirees not yet
eligible for Medicare, those looking for
a lower cost alternative to COBRA, and
newly employed individuals waiting to be
eligible for group coverage. |

Student Medical is available to current
undergraduate and graduate students.
Students typically consider coverage if:
coverage is no longer afforded under a
parental policy, a college sponsored
plan is inadequate, traditional health
insurance products are too expensive, or
a student attends school outside their
parental policy's territory. |

Permanent Medical is for members who
need long-term protection and
comprehensive medical coverage for a
period of usually more than 6 months.
Plans can be customized depending on the
level of coverage desired. Members
typically consider coverage if: they
work full-time and do not receive health
coverage from their employer, they own
their own business or work as an
independent contractor, Short Term
Medical is not available in the state
they live in, or they need more
comprehensive coverage than Short Term
Medical offers. |

Long Term Care (LTC) Insurance is
designed to cover the cost of long-term
health care for members who have a
condition that prevents them from
functioning on their own. LTC is
considered an important part of a
retirement plan because it transfers
a member's financial risk to an insurance
company. Members can have access to the
health care they need without
experiencing major depletion of
financial assets. |

Disability Income Insurance protects a
member in the event that person is
unable to work due to an illness or
accident. The insurance pays a portion
of their wages when they cannot work
because of a long-term disabling illness
or accident. |

Pet Insurance is a product that offers
pet owners the opportunity to manage the
unknown financial risk associated with
their pet's future healthcare costs. Pet
Insurance offers peace of mind that goes
with the knowledge that a member can
afford to provide their pet with the
best veterinary care available at all
times. |

Studies confirm the strong connection
between oral health and an individual’s
overall health. Various dental plans are
available that include coverage for
preventative, basic, and major services.
Individual and family plans are
available. |

For your members age 65 or older,
Medicare Supplement Insurance covers
certain health care expenses that
Medicare does not. Commonly referred to
as "Medigap", this type of insurance is
becoming increasing popular due to high
out-of-pocket medical costs, increasing
deductibles, and substantial
co-payments. |
Life Insurance

Life
Insurance serves as a foundation for
any financial plan whether members
are single or have a family. They
can provide security to their
family’s financial future by
purchasing term life insurance.
Rates are based on a member’s age
and health when coverage begins. The
policy provides coverage anywhere in
the world and covers all causes of
death ranging from illness to
accident. The policy is portable,
unlike life insurance obtained
through an employer.

Accidental Death is designed to
provide a benefit if death occurs
due to an accidental injury within
one year of the injury. This benefit
is paid in addition to any life
insurance a member has. Accidental
Death can be particularly attractive
to members who are active, play
sports, or travel.

Travel Insurance
|
Comprehensive Travel
Insurance provides coverage in the event
a trip is interrupted or canceled, there
is a medical emergency while traveling,
or baggage is lost. Coverage can be
secured to protect against forfeiting
pre-paid travel expenses as well as
unexpected emergency medical costs. |

This form of travel insurance is most useful for those traveling outside of their home country for up to one year. Coverage is provided for the cost of medical care and medical evacuation.

International Health Insurance is typically purchased by members who are traveling outside of their home country for 1 week and up to 3 years. Coverage is provided for medical expense and medical evacuation as well as accidental death and dismemberment, lost baggage, and trip interruption.

Visitors Medical
Insurance provides coverage for members visiting the U.S. for pleasure, business, or study. Coverage is provided for medical expense and medical evacuation as well as accidental death and dismemberment. |
